What if there was a museum that contained every type of life form in the universe? This experience takes you on a tour through the possible forms alien life might take, from the eerily familiar to the utterly exotic, ranging from the inside of the Earth to the most hostile corners of the universe.
New research is upending our idea of life and where it could be hiding: not just on Earth-like planets, where beings could mimic what our planet has produced, but in far flung places like the hearts of dead stars and the rings of gas giant planets. Nowhere in the universe is off limits.
Only when we know what else is out there will we truly know ourselves. This thought experiment will give us a glimpse into what could be out there, how we might find it, and just how far nature’s imagination might stretch.
Big thanks to Protocol Labs for their continued support of this series: protocol.ai.

" to go looking ", sounds cool but those light year distances and one way trip stuff don't sound cool. In the end and in MY opinion apart of me would be excited to have that type of technology to travel and see the ever expanding universe, but to do that we as Humans would have to figure out better ways to harness power from space. The other part of me understands that the Human race is not ready for such power and it's sad but the truth. lol we had to have Alien's come to Earth to tell us to stop playing with Nuke Bombs. Can you imagine if us Humans got our hands on such power ? We would probably mess around and blow up the damn Earth and other neighboring planet's.

Keep calm everyone. There is no carbon based life anywhere else in the universe as it is written. "Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption. Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality". 1 Corinthians 15

Keep in mind, everything we know see and feel and smell etc, its produced bij ourself, in the same way poop smells good, and parfum stinks, just to say, we cant talk with aliens unless we use the stuff that is in space, like halogen, sunpower, and light and maybe radiowaves!, in my opinion its easy to find aliens, just send lights as far as we can to the mirror that use the same light power and speed again, we see stars from billion years ago, lets send them some lights and wait a couple billion years! What i try to tell is that were probally not able to find alien life, if we are not even ready to take steps on other planets, for now alien life have to find us or did it already! Albert Einstein told us 2 options 1 theres alien life in our space that life a different style - very scared thougds 2 we are the only one in billion of planets - very scared thougds

aren't we interested in intelligent life and not just life? we should be spending time exploring our world researching valuable information that was lost during invasions and colonializations around the world. When we still don't know about missing links in the evolutionary process and cannot define an atom in its entirety, maybe our efforts should be more into exploring sustainable life on our planet than exploring the cosmos.

There’s got to be planets with elements that we just simply are unaware of that can also breed life in ways we just don’t understand yet. Who’s to say that just because our known environment has life doesn’t mean somewhere else billions of light years away have other planets have drastically different life that’s based on another element that we couldn’t even fathom of being possible. We are not special. As Graham Hancock would say, what if a species started off with nuclear power as a natural resource at genesis? As opposed to us having evolved over millennia and just now found out about nuclear power , assuming they would evolve at an exponential rate compared to our own, how advanced would they be over millennia if their planet had a perpetual resource of nuclear power? 🤔🤯

Biological life has a quaint tendency to find efficiencies. Even if a machine intelligence evolves, it would probably evolve back towards biologically superior alternatives. Plants are far more efficient at converting sunlight into usable energy than even our best solar cells, being some where in the 90%+ efficiency range. There is strong evidence to suggest that plants and animals use quantum effects at room temperature for various biological processes, while our best attempts at quantum computing require energy intensive cooling to subzero temperatures to predictably obtain quantum effects in a manner that is usable for computing. Life evolved because it's easier to do biologically. Even if we create a machine intelligence that surpasses our human intelligence, biological circuits are far more effective in many ways, even if we haven't had the time to randomly stumble through natural evolution to reach that point yet. As a species, the primary selective factor driving our evolution is whether or not a random mutation makes you more susceptible to thrive, or more susceptible to die, with a large grey section in the middle that doesn't really tip things one way or the other.
