The sweltering nitrogen morally sign because distributor advantageously deceive around a strong leather. synonymous, cheap slope
17:38 is it bad that I wasn't surprised by this because the first star wars feels like it came out so long ago.
Well I rather have more memories about my childhood then whatever I had after thaf
Why is Phill Collins making me anxious about the time flow
Wow, that was 31 minutes already? 😏
This man is a time traveler
26:33 how people text
Michael with no beard Something's wrong I can feel it...
Imagine if the beardless part was the last one he recorded lol
this comment will be almost 80 years old during 2100.
Weeee!!! Aanother existential crisis!!!! Thanks Michael!!!!!!
7:58 is now my favourite scene in the world
me: so the other day what i mean: 3 years ago
I stan stanning
Time seems longer to a child not just due to it being a greater percentage of their existence, but their development as an individual is accelerated. In 6 months they change radically as a sentient being. A 30 year old generally does not change very much in that time frame and is not learning basic formularies of life.
I thought this channel died
Am I the only one who thinks beardless Michael's chin is vaguely reminiscent of Robin Williams? No... Just me? I'm the only weirdo thinking about that? 😂
it was put best by joshua foer in moonwalking with einstein. the more memories you have the longer you've lived. something along those lines
So we waited all that time for an upload so you could do a bit? That's dedication.
0:02 If your brightness is high enough, Michael just looks like a floating head lmao
He has returned!
Now we know why it’s been 6 months since he uploaded.
The world dies with you
i feel like time flies by but when i count it takes forever
i am so high rn V Sauce here!
A bunch of hungry hippos Michael. More more more
He lives!!!
I was always annoyed when we'd go into a new chapter in ancient/early history class, and find out that all this other stuff was happening at the same time as stuff we'd already learned about. I ended up with these pillars of information that aren't connected by a timeline. I'd feel like I missed some context plus it's harder to remember the information now as an adult.
I actually think of this exact thing all the time. Funny seeing a video about it randomly on ALgone. Glad you're back bro!
Here's to boredom every once in a while.
I was off by one second lol
FOMO
Fuck eternity bruh I’m tryna live on turbo😎
My head hurts
More likely those three days in isolation nothing happened, so your brain over-wrote those memories to use the hardware for newer data. You probably only have one or two left that were moved to long term memory.
facially hairless michael looks like dan barrett
This guy usually answers all of the questions I didn’t know I wanted answered
What song is playing at 30:10?
Hey Micheal... Can you make a video about hindu mythology someday?
I'm a truck driver and remember exactly the moment I felt sonder. It just hit me, one day on the freeway in a typical LA jam. It felt eery, but also calming.
mind blown
Smooth brains: ah, this video had a lot of effort put into it, that’s why it’s been a while! Wrinkle brains: o, beard need to grow back! Nice! And vice versa obviously lol
so what your saying is all of our lives are meaningless in the grand scheme of time?
I’m a day late but happy birthday Michael!
I literally looked up pipe dream again a few weeks ago just like you and thought the same thing
It took him time to grow his beard so he can make that video
Finally dam it please make more interesting vids
I'm getting the time illusion that these great videos are farther and farther apart.
I've had the "pipe dream" effect before with video game graphics. I remember when I was small, thinking that video game graphics looked so unbelievably realistic, and that it couldn't possibly get any better. Nowadays I look back and think "lol gross"
I've already forgotten ever watching this video because of that boring ass backdrop
YESSSS ANIMUSIC AAAAAAAAAAH I STILL BELIEVE
Yes, this is good.
He was born in '86?! Shit I'm older than this dude?!
Makes me think on how chrome was considered futuristic, so people "chromed" everything but now no one uses chrome and its just considered a mark of the past.
he looks younger, older, and like an off-brand Ian from Alvin and the Chipmunks without his beard
I shall never forget the time I watched this
That got deeper than a usual episode! Also came at the best time, been feeling the speeding up too often recently, and I'm barely 33!
you have to appreciate the fact vsauce doesn’t make those anooooooying jumpcuts everyone seems to be doing. He can easily piece together coherent sentences without unncesessary editing which is obviously a rarity nowadays.
Old skool Mike is back ✅ 👍👌
i grew up on vsauce!! learned a lot of shit here you cant learn anywhere else
Okay the last part of this video scared the shit out of me
Nobody noticed all the shirt changes??
wow
Missed your videos bro...🥲
oh buddy, I find myself trying to explain these concepts all the time to people..then I stare at a wall for 4 hours and wait for the colours to stop
HOLY SH!T ITS THE COMPUTER MASTER
michael is not the same michael without a beard
Lol you said your childhood lasted longer than your twenties that’s because your twenties is a decade but your childhood is 18 years or according to your calculation and that sentence = 20 years
holy shit hes back,i thought this video was like months ago,I can finally die in peace now
any body who sees my comment please wish Michael a happy belated BIRTHDAY because niceness and Michael is an awesome youtuber and a really cool person so HAPPY BIRTHDAY MICHAEL STEVENS!!
i was on board with this until the part about pre20th century people not seeing changes decade to decade or generation to generation. thats such an annoying misconception. watch any of the many wonderful historical fashion channels and they'll show you very clearly that 1740 was very different in the minds of people in 1740 than 1710. But its not just then. Ancient roman writers are FULL of old men complaining about back in my day, and how the generation before them was better and the generation after them worse, with all these new modern shenanigans. Time travel via machine was not a popular trope because the idea of science fiction was new. but visions from the past or future via mysticism or religious experience probably got more play time, as it were. And historical fiction is like. literally as old as myth. The idea that the past was different and the future will be different is not remotely new - thinking of it that way falls prey to the very fallacies you just discussed.
I was doing some random googling and decided to google michael stevens because I have been watching a lot of mind field recently, I didn't expect to learn that Michael's birthday is January 23 (if google is actually right...) So I want to just wish Michael a HAPPY (belated) BIRTHDAY!!
strangely made me feel a lot better
That was a lot of effort for an Ann Frank mention.
How come things like Clorox and Lysol kill 99.9% of germs and bacteria? Do we really 0.01% of germs and bacteria? Did the scientist inventing them think 99.9 was good enough?
Hello! Please try out my channel! I just started and the overall quality stinks other than the explanation. (I hope.) In my first video, (there is only one) I explain the Magnus effect. Please check it out!
can you tell me what the best thing is?
Will you ever make a video on comma and the conscience? ???? ?? ?? ??
Oh I missed you
10:08 was a mind fuck moment for me
21:22 there it is
What’s the song playing at 21:03?
I guessed 2 minutes when he asked how long have I watched this video and as I checked, it is 2:30. Woahhh
Who's watching this video right now?
hi people from the future, 2021😎
i literally have a protagonist syndrome and this literally explains everything
They don't come often. but when they do. oh boy.
If you think you're clever keep watching vsuace, watching these videos makes me realise how dumb I am
Me dumb
Well, now i am not watching your videos again lol
Mind blowing.
when you said try to guess how long this video has been going for.. I guessed 2.5 mins
i feel like everytime i watch a video it takes a shorter amount of time to watch it
The Nintendo NES is as old to us now as 1955 was to Marty McFly
You also have to consider the establishment of neurons and patterns. An adult that has gotten used to life, will not maintain some of those neural connections that were established, versus someone that is constantly learning a new world. Basically, when you are used to the patterns of life, you tend to pay attention less, therefor, time is perceived differently, because of the amount of information being taken in. As we get older, we tend to slow our lives down, and the events are what seem to pass us by.
MMMBop shout out! Sweet! Hansen is still doing their thing if you would like to look them up today.
I aspire to have as many sweaters as Michael
Legand has its the reason he was gone for so long, Was that he messed up the first part and had to shave and regrow a beard Before doing it again
Vsauce why many dumb people in games
how can i prove the "Ab ovo" theory is not true ?
