I imagine all of this is about twice as steep as it looks?
It is video never do justice
What skid plates these Talon's running??? Awesome video btw!
No the one with the aftermarket cage and in mostly the whole video has not , he has broke a lot but hasn't did that
@BTR OFFROAD and none of them cracked an oil pan?
Thank you and the one in mostly all the video is running an 1/2 Trail armor uhmw skid
4:55 way to much psi in those tires!!!
Yeah he had non beadlocks couldn't go too low he had 10 psi in them
Heads up to any current owners or anyone considering a Talon!!! Don’t roll it hard with a stock cage or it’s eventually gonna fail! Seriously the stock cage is made from coke cans! Deadly!! Not worth owning unless you replace the cage with a properly designed one with a minimum of .120 wall thickness not .045 stock crap! Shame on Honda!!! Thx for sharing though!
Yeah brown that rides with us built his out of .120 , he hit a tree on the stony chunker video and bent frame and cage in and he immediately fixed it and built cage
I gotta say it seems Talon i4WD works better than the Can Am Visco lok but not the Smart lok of course. What you guys think?
Yeah its somewhat similar to can am in how it engages the fourth but from what we have noticed when u pull up to a ledge or rocks when u need that fourth has hurt him but it has saved him a lot axles and breaking a diff because it computer controlled like if he slams down or gets in a bind it has some kind of brake internally to keep from damaging anything but he has only broke one axle and that's from tie rod coming loose and over extending the axle but we dont know too much about the visco lok none of us have ever owned one
Bama Trail Riders Seen that a lot on the visco lok personally but the smart lok changed all that fortunately. Haven’t any experience with i4wd but it seems to work decent but of course no locker. Just curious on what y’all have experienced. Be neat to compare Can Ams old solution to the i4wd.
Canam works a lot better
It works but we seen on video sometimes is 1 tire no spinning at all when he needs traction
Talon riders make me think of XJ Jeep drivers. Full senders and getting by on less regularly. Nice video!
😂😂 yeah I know and thanks man
Hello Bama 😂🤣😂...frkn shifts got in the way of watching this one...but now...Cold brew and a view! Cheers from AK49 to all y’all 🍻🥃🍻
I just don't think it has enough power to really break stuff when it binds and if I did all the same upgrades to a rzr, it wouldnt break those parts either. Does anyone know how much it cost to replace low gear? Is it more or less than a rzr front diff? They also dont jump very well. I'm not trying to make it sound bad but that they all have problems and no one machine solves all the problems. Well maybe speed utv but time will tell on that one also.
Oh okay I didn't catch him saying that i was half asleep when I watched it
Yeah Leo says in the video about how good the sdi suspension is working. The jump has alot to do with it also and the driver but u guys already know that.
Yeah im pretty sure it wasnt stock didn't say anything cause I wasnt for sure lol
Thanks man and nothing wrong with that as long as you can ride. We use to ride alot mud b4 we switched over rzrs from four wheelers
The reason SxS blog's talon jumps so well is bc it has a full sdi suspension. It's not stock.
What modifications are done on the Talon? I have a X4 Live Valve and I am truly impressed with Talon on your videos. Keep up the great work guys - I enjoy watching every new video that comes out
I have no clue on tune someone that races got him that tune and yeah we love our turbo s and really you Cant go wrong with either as long as your riding
@BTR OFFROAD What tuning package does he have? Also how does he like the Shock Therapy setup compared to stock? I had a RZR prior and there's things I miss and things I don't. Half tempted sometimes to go back to a RZR Turbo such as yours
Thanks man glad u enjoy them and from what I know of hes got forward control arms, radius rods, shock therapy springs, wheel spacers, 32in roxxzillas, gated shifter, tune and cage probably missing a lot more
i dont see too many RZRs taking a beating like that and keep going. Two thumbs up for the Talon and three thumbs up for the driver...surprised he can fit in the seat with balls like that!!!
100 hp machine nothing breaks. Double that power and start replacing parts. Those trails your looking at were not made by a Honda Talon, think about it. I like the Honda, but HP/torque break things.
😂😂 yeah Hes not afraid to send it
👍 always ready to see what you all get into
Fun times we have for sure!!
We always into something man
Always Rik safety first "HANDS IN HANDS IN"!!!!!!
Yep thats rik
It does seem pretty tough but doesn't quite seem as capable as the other machines. Think the non locking front diff kills it . Hasn't it had its share of problems though? Low gear ? Something else
Yeah it would me too but still a damn good machine
Yeah that front diff kept me from buying one
Its very tough only thing that kills him is his wheelbase cause its the 1000 x not the r and I ve noticed in some places the i4wd does have its disadvantages but it has saved his front end from breaking alot of axles and diffs and only things he has really broke was a tie rod and his low gear went out but thats pretty much it
For sure it has its drawbacks, no machine is perfect. But very few can you beat on like this without much issue. I do agree a true front locker would help.
This guy is the epitome of raw doggin it. Ain't nothin he wont climb lmao
Yeah Hes not afraid of anything
A Brown Fabrication for the most tested Talon cages in the southeast
I guarentee it
What's up rik
